Nvidia Geforce GT 440
Just over
3 months that Nvidia released the Geforce GT 440 for OEM-market only, (as AMD has done with its Radeon HD 6700). This chart used the Fermi GF106 core, the same used in the Geforce GTS 450 . Nvidia has re-launched the Geforce GT 440, this time for the general public, but does not carry the same core as the previous version. Integra GF108 40nm core (the same used in Geforce GT 430 and 420), and is less powerful than the GF106 used in OEM version. Comes with 96 CUDA Cores, with frequencies of 810MHz for core and 1620Mhz for shaders. There are two versions, one with a memory interface 128-bit with 512MB of GDDR5 memory at 3200MHz, and other 1GB DDR3 1800Mhz. It has DirectX 11 support, and updated connectivity with HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort and dual-link DVI.
The Geforce GT 440 has an MSRP of $ 100, only $ 10 less than the AMD Radeon HD 5750, but with a much lower performance. According to tests performed on this graph, its performance is between a AMD Radeon HD 5570 and HD 5670, so Nvidia managed to fill the gap that existed between the GT 430 and GTS 450. However, this gap will continue to be dominated by the AMD Radeon HD 5670 , as well as having a price range of $ 75 is 11% higher than the GT 440 in performance and power consumption over 22% lower.
