New details on Portal 2
quite some time that we knew nothing about the new title from Valve. We talked about Portal 2 , who along with Crysis 2 are the most anticipated games of 2011. The release of Portal 2 is scheduled for April 22 and has as we approach that date, new details are emerging. The most remarkable fact is that ultimately Portal probably will not use or PlayStation 2 Move or Microsoft Kinect. In Portal 2 return to the Aperture Science facility, and we will in the role of Chell, the protagonist of the first portal, which meets again with GLaDOS (artificial intelligence who manages the place) despite its alleged destruction in original delivery.
The story takes place 200 years after what happened in the first game, so you could deduce that if Chell is still alive is perhaps because it is related to cloning, cryonics or time travel. In the first half hour will focus on a small number of levels to learn the controls and the differences with the first part, being separated by elevators, as in the first game. As we progress, the complexity of the various puzzles will increase. Unlike the first game, which lasted about 3 hours and part of the pack Orange Box, Portal is a completely separate game with about 12 hours.
Portal 2 will be accompanied by a 2-player cooperative mode, which will have its own story and characters, and may be played via internet or via split screen. The PS3 version will be accompanied by Steamworks, online platform which allows automatic updates, online community access, and more. The PC version has the following minimum requirements: Pentium processor 4 3GHz or Dual Core 2GHz, 1GB of RAM for Windows XP or 2GB required for Win Vista, and graphics card with 128 MB of VRAM compatible with DirectX 9 and Pixel Shader 2.0b support (ATI Radeon X800 or higher / NVIDIA GeForce 7600 or higher / Intel Graphics HD 2000 or higher). The Mac version is the same as requirements for Win Vista.
